Scratch Live 2.5 Bug Fixes
Alongside these key features Scratch Live 2.5 also includes bug fixes to continue the unparalleled level of stability and performance that Serato software is known for.
Some examples of the bug fixes are:
- Mixtape .als recordings now work with Ableton Live 9.
- Fixed a bug where the beatgrid lock wasn't being saved and loaded to/from the file; it was only being saved to the database.
- The Sixty-Eight record source is now correctly loaded from preferences.
- Fixed a bug where the CDJ-350 was sending both MIDI and HID messages which meant it could possibly fire two different Scratch Live events at the same time.
- Fixed a bug where the DJFX deck assignments wouldn't save to preferences if going from being 'on' initially, to 'off'.

As of Mixxx 2.2, Mixxx uses Qt's automatic scaling for high pixel density screens. Unfortunately, this does not always work well. Sometimes it uses scaling to make the GUI too big on screens that do not need scaling, or if your screen does require scaling you may prefer a different size than the automatically determined default. Scratch Live 2.3.3 includes a large rewrite of all MPEG-4 file reading and writing of meta data (tagging data). This includes .mp4, .m4a, .aac and many .mov files. One of these changes involves writing Serato meta data to files in a different way than previous versions of Scratch Live.
When playing one of the affected audio files in Scratch Live 2.3.3 for the first time, all existing Serato meta data will need to saved in the new format. Consequently there will be a lot of writing to file, as signified in the status bar.
Scratch Live 2.3.3 will not delete meta data created in previous versions of Scratch Live, however, new meta data created in Scratch Live 2.3.3 will not be able to be read in older versions. Such meta data includes cues, loops etc.
